Buckso Dhillon-Wooley

A much-loved actress says we’re all worrying too much about what others think of us, and it’s keeping us from achieving our greatness. Buckso Dhillon-Wooley suggests the only voice we should be listening to, is the one of our higher self.

After becoming a mother to twins, she followed her heart and took a gamble to become an actor, rather than returning to her previous steady & well-paid job at a railway company. She states being overcome with the feeling that she “had to explore and exercise that demon inside that had been suppressed since being a 14-year-old girl”.

This conversation comes up as Buckso is a guest on the Making Conversations Count Podcast, hosted by Wendy Harris, Owner of WAG Associates. The show is aimed at sharing stories of how one conversation can become a turning point in your life and career, with Buckso delving into not just one, but many pivotal moments in her life.

Now, at another crossroad, Buckso’s using her passion for helping others achieve their path to their higher self, resulting in her shifting the focus on what she does and now offers a business coaching service specifically aimed at women. She gained her accredited status as a life coach in 2019 and throughout the covid-19 lockdown has used the time to reflect on what is important in her life. In the service offered, she will help you work out how to come across obstacles, allow less control and a more natural flow to occur by being open to opportunities.

“Your higher self”- definition

“Your Higher Self is the real you, the soul consciousness that is so, so much more than the physical form you know so well. Your Higher Self is the you that is unlimited and eternal. It’s the part of you that excites you with inspiration, guides you with intuition and teaches you through insight. Your intentions, desires and your secrets are well-known to your Higher Self.”

Grief from the recent loss of her father flicked a switch on her output to life and has galvanised emotions – making her inwardly ask the age-old questions such as “what am I doing here?”, “what’s my sole purpose?”. Joy comes from being fulfilled. We are sent times of grief and we should use these times as golden opportunity to allow ourselves to wash that pain across ourselves & reach the diamond within, showing hidden facets of the diamond we don’t usually show people to bring more meaning to our lives and become fulfilled.

Buckso is a business woman who is always authentically herself in every situation. Wendy explains how they met at a networking “LoveBiz’ group and found it inspiring how Buckso has no fear in coming forward and totally being herself and they made an instant connection.

In this conversational podcast, Wendy presses Buckso on how she became to be so in tune with her own voice, and she confidently states “I am fundamentally who I am, all the time”. Wendy shares many commonalities with Buckso and also agreed how the lockdown has been a Blessing in disguise, giving back time to be able to clear her head and set new goals in order to appreciate priorities in life. The realisation that you don’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea is discussed; not everyone will understand what you do, but you will be there for those that do understand you and you can create a lasting connection with your tribe. Do not compromise who you are to overcome loneliness or as a quick fix to success, as this leads to a path of self-destruction whereby you lose sight of your core values.

These two successful business women reflect on how all aspects of your life can become important to shaping who you are as a person, and allowing yourself to openly speak about your ‘shaded’ side in conversations as well as the ‘light’ allows you to connect to your higher self. Sharing fears, emotions, breaking down barriers using conversation techniques enables you to speak your truth.

In conclusion, we don’t have time to waste on things that do not bring us joy or feel authentically ‘you’!
